Gateway Arts is committed to building a vibrant arts community rooted in positive values. We create impactful works that address pressing social issues affecting youth and children — using the arts as a powerful platform for awareness, dialogue, and change.

Championing social relevance through artistic expression is at the heart of everything we do.

At Gateway Arts, you’ll join a creative and dynamic team united by a shared vision. If you have a passion for the arts and are eager to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s arts landscape, we invite you to embark on a fulfilling and purpose-driven career with us.

Your Role in Marketing

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will work closely with the Company Manager and fellow team members to implement effective sales and marketing strategies for Gateway Arts’ programmes — including, but not limited to, theatre productions.

This role offers valuable hands-on experience in:

  • Strategic marketing and sales planning
  • Brand and event activation
  • Marketing communications and media relations
  • Advertising and promotions
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Strengthening interpersonal and communication skills

If you're ready to make a difference through the arts, Gateway Arts is the place for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Gateway Arts’ programmes to effectively engage stakeholders, build brand awareness, and drive ticket sales.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships that enhance sales, marketing reach, and audience engagement.
  • Lead outreach initiatives to schools, corporations, and groups to maximise attendance and ticket sales.
  • Identify, plan, and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies to grow and retain audiences.
  • Conceptualise and execute marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and improve audience recall.
  • Assist in the creation, design, and production of marketing collaterals and promotional materials.
  • Manage and streamline the booking process for schools, corporations, and group clients.
  • Conduct market research to monitor trends and identify new marketing opportunities.
  • Support social media marketing — including monthly content planning, campaign execution, analytics monitoring, and content optimisation.
  • Collect and analyse data across marketing channels to generate insights and improve audience engagement and conversion strategies.
  • Monitor, document, and report on media coverage of Gateway Arts’ programmes.
  • Design and administer patron surveys; compile and analyse results to develop actionable marketing recommendations.
Events Management & Ticketing
  • Manage ticket inventory and fulfilment to optimise sales and ensure smooth allocation across audience segments.
  • Coordinate ticketing requirements for donors, sponsors, partners, corporations, schools, groups, and internal personnel.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process for both internal and external ticket requests and distribution.
  • Liaise with school representatives to organise student arrival, seating, and dismissal logistics on performance days.
  • Work closely with ticketing agents to coordinate door sales and manage ticketing operations effectively.
  • Support front-of-house (FOH) operations and collaborate with venue FOH managers to deliver a smooth and professional audience experience.
  • Respond to and resolve audience feedback and queries during events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special initiatives such as fundraising galas, outreach programmes, and educational events.
Others
  • Maintain marketing documentation and administrative records.
  • Support other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass/Marketing Communications, Arts Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in marketing.
  • Self-disciplined, independent, and goal-oriented individual.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organised, and resourceful.
  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and assignments effectively.
  • Creative and proactive, with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of Singapore’s arts scene—particularly theatre—is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, Eve of Public Holidays, and Public Holidays, when necessary.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
