Job summary

A staffing agency is looking for a warehouse safety officer in Singapore to conduct inspections, deliver safety training, and maintain compliance documentation. The role requires knowledge of safety regulations, and possession of safety certifications is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts, six days a week, ensuring the safety of warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Possession of valid WSQ Safety Officer certification preferred.
• Experience in warehouse or industrial safety is an advantage.
• Knowledge of risk management practices.

Job description

Working Hours: 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM (12 hours), 6 days work / 1 rest day

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct daily warehouse safety inspections and rectify hazards promptly.

• Deliver or assist in safety training and ensure all staff comply with safety policies.

• Maintain and update emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills.

• Inspect fire safety equipment, ensuring all tools remain operational.

• Oversee the handling and storage of hazardous items.

• Participate in incident investigation, reporting and corrective actions.

• Maintain safety records, training logs, incident reports and compliance documentation.

• Manage PPE issuance, tracking and usage compliance.

• Handle visitor entry registration and ensure warehouse security.

• Support other safety or operational tasks assigned.

Job Requirements

• Higher Nitec / Diploma preferred; safety-related studies advantageous.

• Experience in warehouse or industrial safety is an advantage.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices.

• Possession of a valid WSQ Safety Officer certification, Fire Safety or First Aid certification preferred.

• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
