Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a WSHE Officer responsible for ensuring safety and health compliance at the workplace. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in building or civil projects and must be a registered Environmental Control Officer. Strong observational skills and the ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin are essential. This role involves conducting inspections, organizing training, and dealing with various stakeholders regarding safety matters.

Qualifications

  • Possess a level of physical fitness appropriate for job requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out environmental, health and safety tasks to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Implement and maintain WSHE management procedures.

Job description

The WSHE Officer is responsible to carry out all the environmental, health and safety tasks to create and maintain a safe workplace and culture.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act
  • Implement and maintain proper procedures of WSHE management, administrative and recording system
  • Dealing with authorities, staffs, client’s representatives, public, neighbors and other interested parties on matters related to safety & health.
  • Conduct team/ individual WSHE inspections and produce relevant reports and follow-ups
  • Organize / conduct WSHE briefing/ training to all employees
  • Investigate every incident/ accident and develop preventive measures
  • Ensure risk assessment control measures are implemented for their activities
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager
Requirements:
  • Preferable to have minimum 3 years of experience in building/ civil projects
  • Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
  • Possess valid registration with Ministry of Manpower
  • Possess a level of physical fitness appropriate to the job requirements, keen observation and knowledge of WSH requirements to enforce safety compliance at the workplace
  • Candidate must be able to coordinate with chinese colleagues both in english and mandarin
  • Singaporean and PR only.
