Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Safety Officer to oversee Cable Works under SPPG projects. Responsibilities include leading site personnel, conducting daily safety inspections, and ensuring safety compliance with the WSH Act. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, relevant certifications, and strong communication and leadership skills. This role requires a positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates must be willing to work 6 days a week on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or utilities.
• Valid WSH Officer recognized by MOM.
• PSM-Project Safety Management Course must be completed.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work 6 days per week and willing to be stationed on-site.
• Good leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee Cable Works under SPPG projects and ensure full compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify potential hazards or safety issues and implement effective preventive and corrective actions.
• Lead and guide site personnel in promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure all unsafe acts or conditions are promptly rectified.
• Compile and maintain safety records, incident reports, and inspection findings.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety reports to management and clients as required.
• Liaise with project management, client representatives, and subcontractors to coordinate safety activities.
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, SPPG safety requirements, and company HSE procedures.
