Job Description

Our company is involved in a power infrastructure project commencing from mid-December 2024 and continuing until 2027. We are seeking two (2) Safety Officers to be deployed to project worksites to oversee workplace safety and health compliance throughout the project duration.

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and SP PowerGrid safety requirements at transformer and electrical project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all transformer and electrical worksites fully comply with SP PowerGrid (SPPG) safety rules and procedures.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Prepare and maintain project safety documentation including Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements (MS), Permit-to-Work (PTW) and other safety-related submissions required by SP Power projects.
  • Supervise contractors and workers to ensure adherence to approved safety procedures and work practices.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses and accidents to the project management team.
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and emergency preparedness training at worksites.
  • Liaise with SP PowerGrid representatives, project engineers and subcontractors on all safety-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements
  • Possess a valid SP PowerGrid (SPPG) Safety Pass.
  • Possess a valid SP365 licence / certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant safety management experience in electrical, power, utilities, engineering or transformer-related projects.
  • Familiar with SP PowerGrid safety compliance requirements and transformer installation safety procedures.
  • Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSH Act) and relevant local regulations.
  • Able to work at outdoor project sites, substations and construction environments.
  • Strong coordination, reporting and communication skills.

Note: Candidates must hold valid SPPG and SP365 certifications to meet mandatory project safety requirements.
