Job Tittle: Safety Officer

Location: Multiple substation sites across Singapore, including Jurong Island

Company: Hitachi Energy Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Contract: 2 Years

Reports To: Project Manager / Country Safety officer

Start Date: 1st February 2026

Role Overview

Safety Officers to support Hitachi Energy’s upcoming substation projects in Singapore. The Safety Officer will work onsite to ensure compliance with all safety standards, conduct inspections, prepare daily/weekly/monthly safety reports, and participate in client safety meetings. The role requires close coordination with Hitachi’s project manager and safety team. Candidates must have at least 3 years of construction safety experience, valid Singapore safety certifications, and their own transport to travel to sites, including Jurong Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily HSE checks
  • Conduct/attend toolbox meetings
  • Conduct Safety briefings and risk assessments on site.
Submit daily, weekly, monthly safety reports, including:
  • Contractor safety Management Reports
  • Hazard reports
  • Assessments (RA)
  • Toolbox Meetings
  • Take part in Project Safety Review (PSR) meetings
Participate in:
  • Customer’s WSH/safety meetings
  • Kick-off safety meetings (via Teams/Zoom)
Coordinate with:
  • Country safety officer
  • Project Manager
  • Customer’s safety head
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Safety Officer preferably in construction sector
  • Singapore safety certifications (WSH certifications required)
  • Singapore construction safety standards
  • Substation projects
  • Have own transport
Preferably has worked with:
  • Transmission, substation, switchgear projects
