Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Health and Safety.

SAFETY COORDINATOR x 2

As a Safety Coordinator, do you like to have a positive impact and effect in the smooth running of a crucial project? Do you want to work for a company that works on some of the biggest iconic projects in Singapore and has the reputation as the employer of choice?

Our client is one of the leading Building & Civil contractors not just in Singapore but in Asia too. They have a number of current large scale groundbreaking projects with tenders in place for some of Singapore’s most prestigious upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead the safety team and subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s safety systems.
  2. Liaise closely with the site operations staff and Project Managers on all safety and health issues on site.
  3. Inspect & rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at the worksite.
  4. Assist in all areas of safety planning and incident prevention.
  5. Assist subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s safety systems at sites.
  6. Prepare Accident Reporting and investigations, as well as conduct toolbox meetings.
  7. Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of Department.

Pre-requisites:

  1. Degree/Diploma/O-Levels in Civil Engineering, Safety Environment or any relevant safety courses/certificates.
  2. MUST have a Safety Coordinator Certificate & preferably a Confined Working Space Certificate.
  3. MUST be familiar with the safety procedures within the site.
  4. Minimum of 5 years experience in Health and Safety.
  5. Working experience on LTA projects and specifically within a Tunnel environment/confined area.
  6. Candidate is to be flexible on working hours.
  7. Excellent project skills, good communication & interpersonal skills.
  8. Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  9. Good team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  10. Singaporeans / PRs.
