Job summary

A cleaning services company in Singapore is looking for a Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage safety training for cleaning staff. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Workplace Safety & Health and 1–3 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in the cleaning or facilities management industry. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, monitoring chemical safety, and implementing safe work procedures across multiple cleaning sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement Safe Work Procedures for cleaning activities.
  • Carry out regular site safety inspections and rectify unsafe conditions.
  • Provide safety induction and training to cleaning staff and subcontractors.
  • Monitor proper use of PPE and safe operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Manage chemical safety, including SDS, proper storage, labeling, and handling.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness (first aid, fire safety, spill response).
  • Maintain safety documentation and prepare safety reports.
  • Liaise with operations teams and clients on safety matters.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certification in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in safety coordination (cleaning/FM industry preferred).
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety inspections.
  • Familiar with chemical handling and cleaning equipment safety.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
Working Environment
  • Multiple cleaning sites (commercial, residential, industrial).
  • Requires site visits and interaction with cleaning staff.
