Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore seeks a Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations. The successful candidate will conduct safety training, investigate incidents, and prepare safety reports. Applicants should possess a relevant safety certification and have at least 2 years of experience in the Building and Construction industry. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to proactively manage safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Building and Construction industry.
• Experience in a structural steelwork environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure worksite compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Environmental.
• Conduct daily safety toolbox meetings and safety training.
• Investigate site incidents/accidents and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure safety compliances are followed by all site personnel.
• Inspect and maintain safety records for lifting gears and equipment.
• Assist with ISO audit document preparation.
• Prepare and submit safety reports to the WSH Manager.

• Assists WSH Manager to ensure worksite compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Environmental.
• Conducts daily safety toolbox meetings, safety training, prepares and maintains safety records.
• Investigates all site incidents/accidents and implements corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensures supervisors, workers and subcontractors follow safe work procedures and all safety compliances on site.
• Ensures all lifting gears, appliances, electrical equipment are inspected and records are up to date.
• Assists the Safety Officer/Manager on the ISO audit document preparation.
• Prepares and submits safety reports to the WSH Manager.
• Performs any other ad‑hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Possesses a certificate in the Safety Coordinator’s Course or an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• Has a minimum of 2 years of working experience in the Building and Construction industry.
• Experience in a structural steelwork environment is an advantage.
• Is proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Can work on short notice.
