Job description
- Safely operating a lorry, adhering to traffic laws, and using efficient route planning to meet delivery schedules.
- Properly loading, securing, and unloading goods. This includes checking the condition and quantity of items before and after transport.
- Performing routine checks on the lorry to ensure it is in good working condition, which includes cleaning the vehicle and reporting any issues.
- Working with dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules, and communicating any delays or problems that arise.
- Maintaining accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
