We're seeking an experienced manager to lead our Indian restaurant and provide warm, attentive service that reflects Indian hospitality. You will manage day-to-day operations, maintain high standards for food and beverages, and drive outlet performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations of the Indian restaurant, coordinating service with the kitchen team.
- Lead, train, and schedule service staff to deliver professional, friendly service and product knowledge of Indian dishes and beverages.
- Handle reservations, walk-in customers, enquiries, and feedback, resolving guest issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure consistency in food presentation, portioning, and service standards according to brand and cuisine guidelines.
- Work with the kitchen to manage menu changes, specials, and promotions for Indian cuisine.
- Monitor inventory and ordering of ingredients, spices, and beverages commonly used in Indian cuisine, avoiding stock-outs and wastage.
- Track daily sales, control operating costs, and support budgeting, cost management, and profitability targets.
- Ensure strict compliance with SFA food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace safety regulations in Singapore.
- Prepare basic operational reports (sales, labour, wastage, customer feedback) for management review.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory/management role in F&B, preferably in Indian or Asian cuisine.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills, with the ability to motivate a multicultural team.
- Proven track record of delivering good customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Good understanding of restaurant operations, including service flow, basic kitchen processes, and POS systems.
- Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of Indian languages is an advantage for communicating with some guests and staff.
Preferred (optional)
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
- Prior experience in an Indian restaurant setting or strong knowledge of Indian cuisine.
- Experience with simple marketing or social media activities for restaurant promotions.
