A leading resource management company in Singapore is seeking a Resource Manager to oversee project resourcing and ensure effective employee allocation. The incumbent will manage workloads, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with departments to optimize resource utilization. Responsibilities include capacity planning, workload management, and improving resource management processes. This role is crucial for ensuring projects deliver successfully, and involves documenting processes related to resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project activities and resource allocation.
  • Plan capacity for upcoming projects.
  • Manage employee workload and overtime.
  • Resolve resource conflicts.
  • Address resource shortages and communicate with management.
  • Support project executives with resource management issues.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR on hiring and incentives.
  • Document processes like utilization reports.
  • Manage New Graduate Talent and Resource Development.
  • Collaborate with teams on monthly resource utilization.
Job description
Key Responsibilities with an Emphasis on Employee Engagement
  • Assigning available employees to projects in accordance with their skillsets, previous experience, and availability.
  • Monitoring day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing.
  • Capacity planning, i.e. makingsure that a company’s resources have capacity to work on upcoming projects.
  • Monitoring and managing employees’ workload, utilization, and overtime hours.
  • Managing resource conflicts.
  • Overcoming resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc; informing senior management of any issues related to inabilityto meet clients’ needs due to resourcing.
  • Providing project executive with support when it comes to resource management issues or improving resource management processes.
  • Knowing all the current and upcoming projects run in an organization and business development activities and being able to plan resourcing accordingly.
  • Collaborating with the BO, Finance and HR department regarding hiring or project related incentives and or company initiatives and projects.
  • Documenting processes (e.g.weekly utilization report or annual workforce planning, etc
  • Manage New Graduate Talent and Resource Development plan.
  • Drive the adoption of resource utilization and collaborate with HK team on the monthly resource utilization.

Job summary: The incumbent is responsible to assign the right resources to the right projects at the right time to ensure successful delivery of projects.
