Job summary

Job description
Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as an RTO, with at least 5 years in supervising works of similar complexity. This includes major construction projects involving buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations, as well as tasks such as installing monitoring instruments and collating monitoring data.
  • Qualifications: Possess a Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution.
  • Accreditation: Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
  • Safety Certification: Hold a valid certificate in the Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
  • Technical Knowledge: Be conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and the submission of progress reports.
  • Record-Keeping: Demonstrate competence in maintaining accurate and updated site records of work progress.
  • Problem-Solving: Be proactive in resolving and managing site issues while fostering a positive team spirit.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work in shifts.
