Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Resident Engineer to supervise a commercial project including the construction of 4 basements and a 32-storey tower. You will ensure compliance with project specifications and maintain administrative control, while supporting the employer in construction aspects. The ideal candidate will have a valid Resident Engineer Practicing Certificate and at least 5 years of experience. We have a vacancy for a commercial project in CBD. The works include top down construction of 4 basements and a 32 storey steel tower with outrigger. As a Resident Engineer (RE), you will provide essential on-site supervision for the construction of civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and Building Control regulations. You will play a key role in managing site staff, maintaining administrative control, and supporting the Employer in all construction-related aspects to achieve high-quality project outcomes.

This is a contract position.

  • Supervise construction works in alignment with project specifications and Building Control regulations
  • Manage and oversee a team of site staff or clerks of works, ensuring their performance meets project requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of site activities, staff attendance, and administrative matters, ensuring discipline and punctuality
  • Assist in approving overtime requisitions and ensure proper supervision of works, either personally or by allocating site staff.
  • Support the Employer in monitoring contractor schedules, site safety, and record-keeping, and submit all relevant reports to project stakeholders.
Is this role right for you?
  • Accredited with IES-ACES-SSSS with a valid Resident Engineer Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Resident Engineer
  • Experience in supervising the construction of ERSS works, top-down construction, bored piles, raft foundation, precast RC structures, long-span steel structures
  • Able to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports
  • Good supervisory and leadership skills with, with experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers
  • Expected start date of employment: Immediate.
