Job summary

A leading arts organization in Singapore is seeking a Resident to support learning and engagement programs for children and youth. This role involves liaising with schools and community partners, assisting with program planning, and providing support for various arts initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in relevant fields and a strong interest in arts education. A full-time commitment to the 24-month residency program is required, and applications are open to Singapore citizens only.

Job description

This role offers a unique opportunity in particular for a recent graduate to gain practical experience in delivering learning & engagement programs for children, youth and adults. Programs include actor training for young people, Stage Camps, SRT’s holiday camps, speech & drama classes and other theatre-based initiatives. As a Resident, you will report to the Head of Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) and receive hands-n training:

  • Liaising with clients, i.e. schools, participants, community partners.
  • Assist with planning program schedules and registration.
  • Sales support for CCL programs, i.e. telephone sales & emails.
  • Support planning and delivery of all CCL programs. Provide assistant facilitator support.
  • Support Front-of-House duties and SRT events as required.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in Early Childhood education, Arts Management or related field.
  • Strong interest in arts education, youth development or community engagement.
  • Experience in organising workshops or working with children and youth is advantageous.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects or events simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Willingness to work on weekends or evenings, depending on events or program schedules.

A full-time commitment to the 24-month residency program is required and the opportunity is open to Singapore citizens only.
