Job summary

A leading university in Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to collaborate on innovative research in liquid metal composites for soft electronics. The ideal applicant will hold a PhD in Materials Science or a related field and have a strong publication record. Responsibilities include developing strategies for functional fibers fabrication and characterizing soft conductive materials for use in wearable devices. The position commences in April 2026.

Job Description
  • The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. LIN Yiliang, on the research project of liquid metal composites design for soft electronic applications.
  • Will help to develop new strategies for functional fibers fabrication, perform materials characterization, fabricate soft conductive materials toward wearable electronic devices/textiles.
Job Requirement
  • A PhD degree in a relevant area, e.g., Materials Science, Polymer Science, Materials Physics, Microelectronics or a closely related discipline
  • Good publication record
  • A background in conductive composites design, electromechanical properties characterization, soft electronic device design and characterization
  • Any experience with 1) Conductive composites design and characterization, 2) Fiber-based electronic devices fabrication is a plus
