We are looking for a Research Associate in environmental biotechnology to harness environmental microorganisms to address challenges in clean energy and carbon mitigation. The role will focus on developing biological systems and sustainable processes that enable microbial carbon fixation and biohydrogen production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop microbial consortia and co-culture systems for CO2 conversion and hydrogen generation.
  • Construct electro-microbial systems to drive sustainable bioconversion processes.
  • Apply metabolic engineering approaches to enhance microbial conversion efficiency.
  • Perform experiments to assess the performance and stability of the biological systems.
  • Conduct techno-economic and life-cycle assessments to evaluate economic feasibility and environmental impact.
  • Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and intellectual property (IP) disclosures.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, documentation, and quality control.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in environmental science and engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with environmental biotechnology and other relevant net-zero technologies.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in relevant experimental research.
  • A record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals in environmental engineering or related fields.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
