Job Description

The research assistant will work on the design, fabrication, and characterization of advanced gas separation membranes and catalytic systems for energy and sustainability applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Synthesise and fabricate membrane materials (e.g., polymeric, inorganic, and 2D-material-based membranes)
  • Develop and test gas separation and membrane–catalysis systems
  • Conduct gas permeation, selectivity, and catalytic performance measurements
  • Perform materials characterization (e.g., SEM/TEM, XRD, Raman, XPS, BET, etc)
  • Assist with data analysis, documentation, and manuscript preparation
  • Support day-to-day laboratory operations and safety compliance
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science
  • Background or strong interest in membranes, catalysis, gas separation, or energy materials
  • Hands-on laboratory experience; familiarity with gas testing systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
