A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Lead Procurement Business Partner to drive procurement excellence and manage supply challenges. This role requires at least 12 years in Procurement, including 5 years in strategic leadership, preferably in the semiconductor or industrial sectors. The successful candidate will ensure supply continuity and optimize costs while developing the procurement talent pipeline. Job description
Summary

The Lead Procurement Business Partner a individual contributor serves as the strategic bridge between the Material Solutions (MS) Asia leadership and the global procurement organization. This role is responsible for driving regional procurement excellence, managing high-priority supply challenges, and aligning site activities with global category strategies. Based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring supply continuity, optimizing regional spend, and developing high‑potential procurement talent across the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the single point‑of‑contact (SPOC) for Asia Division leadership regarding supplier purchasing, risk management, and spend performance.
  • Proactively engage with top‑tier management to provide expert guidance on strategy execution and cross‑functional alignment.
Supply Resilience & Crisis Leadership
  • Orchestrate the coordination and reporting of regional emergencies and urgent supply disruptions.
  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure raw material shortages are accurately reflected in the S&OP cycle with robust mitigation plans in place.
Value Creation & Operational Alignment
  • Partner with Category Management and Operations to deliver significant cost reductions and optimize inventory health.
  • Translate global category strategies into local site actions to ensure a unified approach to buying and supplier management.
Talent & Capability Development
  • Provide functional leadership to Asia‑region buyers, focusing on skill development, resource productivity, and proficiency.
  • In partnership with the Supply Chain COE, design development plans and succession strategies to build a robust regional talent pipeline.
Requirements
Experience & Background
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: At least 12 years in Procurement/Supply Chain, with 5+ years in a Strategic Business Partnering or Sourcing leadership role.
  • Industry: Proven experience in Semicon manufacturing or industrial sectors (e.g., Chemicals, Material Science).
  • Region: Demonstrated success managing procurement activities across the APAC landscape.
Competencies
  • Technical: Deep expertise in Category Management, TCO models, and S&OP integration.
  • Systems: Proficiency in ERP (SAP) and BI analytics (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead in a matrix environment and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: High‑level negotiation, crisis management, and executive communication skills.
