Logistics Automation Consultation
- Discover new automation technology (S/W, H/W) and keep abreast of the latest automation market trends by developing relevant strategies
- Conduct operational simulation to strengthen capacity by adopting the optimal automation solutions for customers
Planning, Purchasing and Implementation Management
- Propose the right Logistics Automation Solution that complies with customers’ requirements, aims to fulfill quality goals, service standards and inventory accuracy
- Provide consultation, prepare proposal, conduct feasibility testing / pilot run (operational simulation) considering the latest automation technology for warehouse setup
- Assess the technical specifications, source the supplier and purchase warehouse automated equipment that fulfills the requirements
- Work closely with Logistics Systems Integration Engineer to build the automation technology database to track capacities, costs and system connectivity
- Plan, execute and monitor by keeping track of the entire implementation project timeline, cost and resources
- Conduct user training for key users
- Monitor and report operational status including work efficiency, ROI analysis, productivity to management
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders i.e. external suppliers, technology consultants, equipment suppliers
Operation R&R
- Oversee Logistics Center operational matters within SEA region in terms of KPI tracking (e.g., Safety, Attendance, Performance Evaluation, Recruitment, etc.) for freight, warehousing, local distribution, trading and e‑commerce delivery management
- Monitor and report weekly KPI results, conduct investigations (if any) and derive action plan to improve efficiency & effectiveness
- Manage operating indexes including Service Level Agreement (SLA), Net Promoter Score (NPS), RTF‑based sales forecasting and operational capacity acquisition/execution
- Monitor work productivity including daily inbound shipments status, identify risks and report for mitigation
- Extract and perform data analysis to monitor logistics operations (e.g., order volume, WH fill rate, cycle count, box damage, inventory accuracy management)
- Manage business flow and provide customer support including responding to customer requests / enquiries
- Identify and analyse logistics market trends/risks (e.g., causes of container delay, status of affected countries)
- Review industry trends on customers and competitors to establish mid‑ to long‑term operational excellence plan
- Enhance processes including bill settlement
- Prepare monthly & quarterly business review reports to management
Requirements
(a) Education / Qualification
Bachelor’s degree with major in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, or related technical engineering field
(b) Experience (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5+ years of related working experience in a Global Logistics Company
- Work experience in Electronic Logistics Operations and/or Global Freight Forwarding companies
- Experience in setting up automation solutions in a logistics environment and relevant role by designing warehouse automation equipment such as ASRS, AGV, DPS, DAS, etc.; setting up a warehouse is a must
- Deep understanding of Global Logistics Automation, WMS/WCS
- Proficient in Logistics Automation Simulation
- Able to select optimal option and application for automation equipment
- Good at warehouse automation layout design using tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, CAD
- Excellent at managing end‑to‑end projects
(c) Skills
- Experience in developing and applying new technology for Logistics Automation
- Logistics Center Operation experience
- Experience in leading projects with simulation using Automode, FlexSim, Arena
- Experience in carrying out optimization (Operations Research) projects
- Good understanding of the automation and technology impacts and prerequisites; financial affinity in terms of ROI and cost savings; able to use data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.; familiar with regulations, codes of practice and standards imposed on technical procedures
- Hands‑on experience in operation management is an added advantage
