Job summary

A leading transportation service provider in Singapore is seeking a candidate for assisting in Rail Asset Condition Assessment and inspections. The ideal person will support contractor engagement and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a Nitec or NTC2 in Engineering and preferably two years of experience. Responsibilities

  • Assist in Rail Asset Condition Assessment for Permanent Way and Civil Structure.
  • Engage and oversee contractors performing on-site inspections and repairs.
  • Monitor contractor activities for adherence to specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with other rail departments for inspection coordination.
  • Respond to emergencies as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety requirements.
  • Prioritize personal and team safety during work.

Responsibility
  • Assist and support in Rail Asset Condition Assessment for Permanent Way and Civil Structure
  • Assist and support in Periodic Structure Inspection (PSI)
  • Be part of the PLANs Office led by the Team Leader to assist and support in the condition assessment and PSI tasks. The tasks can range from:
  • Active engagement and oversight of contractors performing on-site inspection, testing and repair works
  • To act as an on-site point of contact for contractors
  • To monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to specification, scope of work and agreed timeline
  • Collaborating with other rail departments to coordinate inspection and rectification activities
  • Emergency response as required
  • Any work assigned by Team Leader or Superior
  • Ensuring all work complies with all safety requirements stated in the Company Safety Management System
  • Ensure personal and team safety during work
Requirements
  • Nitec or NTC2 in Engineering.
  • Preferably 2 years of working experience.
  • Office hours but must be prepared to work during engineering hours (Midnight) when required.
