Your key responsibilities

As part of our global team you will work on various components as a Lead Software Engineer. Your role includes specification, development, testing and rollout of new features. You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with user experience and contribute to building an engineering culture within the team. You should deliver high quality software and have a strong foundation in software engineering. A good understanding of Cloud concepts is a plus.

  • Ownership and oversight of development of applications in alignment with target architecture as per Domain and Enterprise Architecture blueprint.
  • Provide technical expertise on software and platform feature development, ensuring security and risk considerations.
  • Engage with the business to understand high-level requirements and propose solutions.
  • Engage with Functional Analysts to help define functional solutions.
  • Develop high-level solution and design documents for requirements.
  • Validate that non-functional requirements are met in implementation.
  • Monitor results and quality of software solutions and projects.
  • Coding and testing, reviewing team members’ changes.
  • Engage with production support to resolve critical issues.
Your skills and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant SDLC experience in the financial industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Traydstream product implementation.
  • Hands-on Java development (Java 8) with exposure to functional reactive programming.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications on platforms such as Kubernetes, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of distributed messaging with Apache Kafka.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • Experience with Business-Driven Development and BDD frameworks such as JBehave or Cucumber.
  • Experience with API development and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience building microservices with unit and integration tests (Spring Boot, Cloud, and related frameworks).
  • Understanding of event-driven microservice patterns such as CQRS.
  • Experience with cloud deployments and familiarity with AI/ML model usage in GCP.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, programming & systems analysis, or related field.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
