Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a skilled manufacturing technician. The position involves performing manufacturing tasks to produce high-quality products, troubleshooting components and systems, and assisting engineers with controlled experiments. Candidates should have a Nitec or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, with relevant experience in the Life Science or Medical Devices industry. Experience in ISO 13485 and cGMP environments is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Nitec or equivalent with relevant experience required.
  • Experience in manufacturing instruments in Life Science or Medical Devices Industry essential.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 audit and cGMP environment important.

Job description
  • Perform assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products under limited supervision and instruction.
  • Perform troubleshooting on components, sub-assembly, and full assembly systems by using mechanical and electrical knowledge when issues arise.
  • Perform assembly and testing activities in accordance to the established work standards, test procedures and work schedule.
  • Work with supervisor and assist engineers to execute controlled experiments for feasibility study.
  • Execute moderately complex assignment by assisting Engineers to do troubleshooting and assisting Supervisor for report data collection and provide independent judgment.
  • Support 5S and Lean activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tool.
  • Support process improvement activities to meet production goals.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Education
  • Nitec, Technical Diploma or Vocational Certified in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with relevant experience.
Experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing Instrument in Life Science or Medical Devices Industry
  • Experience in ISO 13485 audit and cGMP environment
  • Experience in execution equipment installation IQ / OQ
  • Experience in soldering electrical components
Skills
  • Knowledge in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Meticulous and attention to details with good troubleshooting ability.
