Job summary

A civil engineering company in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor to assist in all project phases from pre-tender to post-contract. The role requires strong skills in quantity surveying, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering or related fields, with 1 to 5 years of experience preferred but training offered for fresh graduates. The position involves project budget preparation, sourcing, and negotiating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor, training provided for fresh entry level.
  • Professional knowledge in relevant regulations and practices is required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize tasks autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-tender to post-contract stages including final accounts closing.
  • Prepare contract documents and monitor variations.
  • Compile project data for kick-off meetings with departments.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets for approval.
  • Source material pricings and conduct cost comparisons.
  • Evaluate technical/commercial submissions from subcontractors.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Respond to subcontractor progress claims and issue payment responses.
  • Manage monthly progress claim submissions to clients.
  • Handle project administration and documentation.
