Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor to assist in cost estimation and manage tender documents for HDB contracts. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying and preferably 2 years of experience in main construction companies. The role involves liaising with sub-contractors, ensuring accurate measurement for payments, and preparing variation orders. A meticulous and analytical mindset is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

• Experience in HDB contracts or HDB BTO projects is an added advantage.

• Obtain quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare tender documents and costing summary.
• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities for claims and payments.
• Prepare Variation Orders and final accounts.
• Certify and evaluate progress work done for contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost estimation and future tender exercise.
• Prepare and analyze the cost comparison together with Senior QS.
• Liaise and negotiate with sub‑contractors and suppliers.
• Obtaining quotations from suppliers and sub‑contractors.
• Prepare and administer tender documents and doing costing summary and price comparison.
• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub‑contractor payments.
• Certify and evaluate progress work done, includes contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
• Be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem‑solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.
• Perform all other QS‑related jobs.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building or its equivalent
