Job summary

A construction services company in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to assist in both pre-contract and post-contract phases of projects. The ideal candidate will prepare tenders, evaluate pricing, and ensure accurate measurement for payment claims. A degree in Quantity Surveying, along with a minimum of 3 years experience, is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills are essential for success in this role.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in the pre-contract or post-contract phases of fast‑track projects.
  • Pre‑contract: Prepare tenders, measurement and Bills of Quantities, evaluate price comparisons, and prepare cost summaries and quotations for both civil and building projects.
  • Post‑contract: Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in preparing progress payment claims, variation order claims, and payments to subcontractors and suppliers, including all final accounts.
  • Maintain proper documentation of site events for Variation Orders and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Work closely with and support the Safety team on initiatives related to Safety and Health.
  • Comply with the company’s Safety Management System and all requirements under the Workplace Safety & Health Act (WSHA) and its subsidiary legislation.
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with a main construction firm.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and a good team player with strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
