Job summary

A construction services provider in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to handle project cost estimates and manage financial aspects of construction projects. You will prepare Bills of Quantities and oversee cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 2 years of experience in the construction or interior fit-out sector. The salary package offers a basic of up to $6000, along with a variable bonus.

Position Title: Quantity Surveyor

Working Location: MacPherson

Working Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm)

Salary Package: Basic up to $6000 + Variable Bonus

Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare project cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documentation.
  • Source and review quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, and compile cost comparison summaries.
  • Oversee cost control throughout the project lifecycle, including budgeting, variations, and progress claims.
  • Carry out measurement and valuation of works completed for interim and final payments.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on cost and contractual issues.
  • Track and report project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and contract terms.
  • Prepare and submit progress claims, variation submissions, and final account documents.
  • Support the Project Manager with procurement activities and contract administration tasks.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the construction or interior fit-out sector.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity measurement software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills, with clear communication abilities.
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willing to work on Saturdays when necessary to complete ongoing project commitments.
