Roles & Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency across all stages of construction and fit-out projects. Your responsibilities include:

  • Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation: Accurately measure and estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for tendering and project execution.
  • Tender & Contract Documentation: Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contracts. Source materials and assess market rates to support competitive bidding.
  • Progress Claims & Variations: Prepare and submit progress claims promptly, evaluate variation orders (VOs), and conduct cost-benefit analyses to support project financial control.
  • Procurement & Administration Support: Assist in procurement activities, including vendor selection, cost negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Project Cost & Payment Evaluation: Assess progress payments, validate contractor claims, and ensure project costs remain within budget.
  • Contractual & Project Support: Work closely with the Project Director/Manager to handle contractual matters, risk assessments, and compliance with project agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Fresh graduates with a keen interest in learning are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with corporate office costing build-up.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial/corporate office fit-out projects (both new builds and renovations) is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Prior experience in a Design & Build or similar working environment as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop actionable plans and recommendations.
  • A strong work ethic and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
