Job summary

A construction company based in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing various aspects of project cost estimation, including progress claims and variations. Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Singapore. Skills in MS Office and AutoCAD are required, and the ability to work independently and under pressure is essential. Immediate availability is preferred. The position will be located in the Tuas South area.

Qualifications

• Must be independent and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage Progress Claims and Variation Orders.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors.
• Develop and manage construction schedule and plans.
• Liaise with site personnel and suppliers.
• Handle other project-related duties as required.

• Responsible for Progress Claims, Variation Orders, Final Accounts and Sub-contractor Progress Claims.


• Taking off quantities, obtaining quotations from subcontractors and supplier


• Provide estimates and evaluate costing to achieve competitive costing for tender submission


• Estimate, develop & manage construction schedule, method of statement, and temporary plan


• Able to Source and Liaise with Site Personnel, Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants and/or Architects for all project-related matters.


• Any other duties that are deemed required to complete the works

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Post-Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Quantity Surveying or Facilities/ Building-related.


• MUST have at least 2 years of work experience as Quantity Surveyor in Singapore.


• Competent in software skills MS Office and AutoCAD.


• Should be meticulous, independent, highly motivated, results-oriented, good team player and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


• Able to start work immediately is an advantage.


• Willing to work at Tuas South area
