Job summary

A leading construction firm seeks a quality manager in Singapore to establish and maintain quality systems for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building Construction Management or Civil Engineering, hold a Certified CONQUAS Manager or Certified Quality Mark Manager certification, and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with BCA CONQUAS standards and conducting regular inspections to meet quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' construction experience in a similar capacity.
  • Have architectural or structural-trained work experience.

Job Description:-:
  • Establish, implement, and maintain project quality systems aligned with corporate and Singapore standards.
  • Conduct regular QMS audits and reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with authorities, vendors, subcontractors, and external parties on quality-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC plans, project specifications, BCA CONQUAS & Quality Mark standards.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies and inspection test plans.
  • Issuance of QAQC Non-compliance to sub-contractors
  • Attend monthly QAQC presentation and meeting at Corporate QAQC Department
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements (in accordance to BCA’s Good Industry Practice & approval from the clients and consultants)
  • Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS/QM assessments. Act as the primary quality liaison with clients and consultants, updating them on QA/QC matters and addressing quality concerns directly related to CONQUAS scoring.
  • Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to ensure construction methods comply with CONQUAS specifications, providing guidance on quality protocols and rectifications or even conducting relevant training as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Possess a valid Certified CONQUAS Manager (CCQM) / Certified Quality Mark Manager (CQMM)
  • Architectural-trained or Structural-trained work experience
  • Possess a Degree in Building Construction Management / Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ construction experience in similar capacity.
  • Ensure the quality of all works to reach the desired CONQUAS score.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance with BCA’s good industry practice.
  • Formulate and implement QA/QC management system at site.
  • Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive & able to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge in Singapore Building Codes and Regulations.
  • Good knowledge of construction quality control/assurance is necessary
  • Good knowledge in BCA ISO regulations, BCA CONQUAS and other Quality Mark Assessment.
  • Well versed in local quality standards including CONQUAS scheme
  • Strong drive for results, excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
