Job summary

A food services company in Singapore is seeking an individual responsible for inventory management and supplier engagement. This role involves maintaining supplier lists, negotiating with suppliers, conducting market research for new products, and assisting in ordering processes. Additionally, the candidate will be required to travel to various outlets regularly. The position demands strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to implement effective inventory controls.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & update supplier, contact and person-in-charge list.
  • Maintain & update stock list including stock cost and selling price.
  • Update SOP on purchasing / ordering / internal delivery.
  • Liaise and assist outlet Managers to order products, kitchen wares, plastic bags etc.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the best price, stock, quality, terms and conditions.
  • Conduct market research and propose new/valuable products and suppliers.
  • Source for alternative products when products are not available.
  • Liaise with suppliers on issues with products, shipping and delivery.
  • Liaise and assist chefs on ordering salmon and sake.
  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Document daily delivery and shipments to update inventory.
  • Prepare documents for stock take and ensure stock take procedure is in place.
  • Conduct stock take checking.
  • Prepare analysis reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Communicate and liaise with outlets Manager and marketing department.
  • Require to travel to outlets regularly.
