Senior Project Manager, Smart Buildings

You can create an impact by:
Project Planning & Execution:
  • Lead projects from initiation to completion and handover, including scope definition, project plan, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure system integration and functionality.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates with stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
  • Review system architecture, control strategies, and integration plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX, EN, UL) and local building codes.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor junior project managers and engineers.
  • Coordinate with procurement and oversee vendor performance and compliance.
  • Risk & Quality Management:
  • Identify and mitigate project risks including cybersecurity and data privacy concerns.
  • Ensure quality assurance, control throughout the project lifecycle and approved by relevant authorities.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and profitability.
  • Approve procurement and subcontractor invoices.
  • Commissioning & Handover:
  • Oversee system testing, commissioning, and client training.
  • Ensure proper documentation including drawings, manuals, test reports and smooth handover to operations/maintenance teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • IPMA or equivalent project management certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in BMS or building automation.
  • Strong understanding of BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens).
  • Familiarity with smart building technologies and IoT integration.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in high-rise, data centres, airport, higher education, healthcare, life science or industrial projects.
  • Green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BCA Green Mark).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity in building systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Discipline: Fire Safety Systems
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering.
  • IPMA or equivalent project management certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in fire safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection standards (e.g., EN).
  • Experience with fire alarm systems (e.g., Siemens), suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in high-rise, data centres, airport, higher education, healthcare, life science or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with SCDF submission and approval processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Discipline: Security Systems
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • IPMA or equivalent project management certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of security platforms (e.g., Siveillance, Milestone, Axis).
  • Familiarity with IP networking, cybersecurity, and system integration.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in high-security environments, airports, data centres, higher education, healthcare, life science, government facilities).
  • Knowledge of local regulations and authority submission processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
