Role Summary
The Project Manager, Electrical plays a pivotal role in managing project and driving the design delivery for both greenfield and brownfield data center projects across the APAC.
This position oversees the full lifecycle of electrical engineering activities—including design development, system upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning—for new builds as well as the enhancement and deployment of existing facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new greenfield and brownfield data center projects from conceptthrough delivery.
- Support data center remodeling initiatives and the integration of additional services within existing data halls.
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate concept design schemes.
- Prepare high-quality design prospectuses and technical submissions for proposedsolutions.
- Oversee and manage lead design consultants to ensure all designs and documentation are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
- Adhere to established procedures and secure all required internal and external approvals.
- Develop new procedures and guidelines when necessary to support engineering and projectworkflows.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date engineering documentation throughout the projectlifecycle.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design-related and on-site technical issues.
- Review and cross-check multidisciplinary designs, including electrical, to ensure coordination and technical compliance.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Competency and Behavioral Skills
- 12+ years of experience in construction of major downstream or mission-critical projects, including data center environments.
- Expertise in greenfield and brownfield data center design and delivery, including livemodifications, retrofits, and system upgrades.
- Strong background in electrical systems, including MV, LV, HV distribution, AC/DC systems, power management, and SCADA.
- Advance experience in testing, commissioning, integration, and operation of criticalinfrastructure for large-scale facilities.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills: project planning, progress tracking, safety compliance, quality control, documentation and reporting.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and client-facing, with strong communication and presentationskills.
- Willingness to travel and extended on-site assignments; international project exposure is an advantage.
