Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Project Equipment Engineer for a permanent role in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage CAPEX budget proposals and oversee the installation and commissioning of new machines for a leading manufacturer. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Equipment Design and Project Management. Compensation is between $4,500 and $5,500 plus benefits.

Responsibilities

Project Equipment Engineer

This is a permanent role based in Central with standard work hours Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will manage CAPEX budget proposals and justifications, conceptualize, manufacture, install, commission and industrialise new machines for a leading micro‑connectors manufacturer.

• Manage projects involving CAPEX budget proposals/justifications, conceptualisation, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and industrialisation of new machines.
• Develop and review equipment specifications, identify and select suitable suppliers, conduct tender evaluations, and award purchase orders to suppliers who meet the selection criteria.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and manage project timelines and budgets.

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2 – 5 years of working experience in Equipment Design & Project Management within the Electronics/ Semiconductor Back End Industry.

Compensation: $4,500 – $5,500 Basic + AWS + VB.
