Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Project Engineer to provide technical support and manage risks on site. You will be responsible for ensuring safe work procedures are implemented and coordinating with various teams. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Civil Engineering and at least 1-2 years of site experience. This is a permanent position with a 5.5-day work week.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of relevant site-based experience in construction projects.
• Able to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Working Hours: 5.5 Days, Mon - Fri (8.30am - 6pm), Sat (8.30am - 1pm)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + Annual Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to the Project Team.
• Proactively identify, review, and assess foreseeable risks arising from the workplace, site conditions, and work processes.
• Carry out reasonably practical actions to eliminate risks where possible and reduce remaining risks to an acceptable level to protect all personnel on site.
• Ensure approved safe work procedures and control measures are properly implemented, communicated, and adhered to.
• Check drawings for accuracy by verifying dimensions, levels, and key details, and highlight discrepancies between structural and architectural drawings.
• Assist with site setup and mobilisation works, including coordinating initial site arrangements, documentation, and preparation of submissions to relevant authorities when.
• Support other project-related tasks and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Project Management team.
