Job summary

A precision engineering company in Singapore seeks an experienced project manager to act as the primary contact for customers, providing technical support throughout project development. The role involves planning and controlling projects to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, managing cross-functional teams, and executing risk assessments. Candidates should hold a relevant engineering qualification and possess 3–6 years of related experience, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment, with a strong ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of related experience with 2 years in project management in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with multi-discipline project teams in manufacturing equipment or system integration is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of precision machining/assembly processes is advantageous.

Job description
Authorities and Responsibilities
  • Act as primary customer contact, and provide technical support and regular update to customers on project development in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and co‑ordinate with clients and relevant parties pertaining to the technical requirements and engineering aspects of the assigned projects.
  • Review / prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the project specifications, client's surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their project execution.
  • Provide expertise and advisory support to enable operations to effectively and responsibly execute, and consistently maintain, quality workmanship and conformance to design and project specifications, and good manufacturing / engineering practices.
  • Plan, monitor and control projects from the receipt of orders through to installation / completion at the customer's site. Additionally to review and competently control the completion of project within the allocated budgets and schedules.
  • Responsible for getting project acceptance by customers.
  • Lead the cross‑functional project team and work closely among inter‑department to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effectively manner.
  • Participate in the implementation of risk assessment and risk control of medical devices.
Competence Requirements
  • Preferred to have NTC / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably with 3 – 6 years of related experience in which 2 years of involvement with project management in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience working with multi‑discipline project teams in a manufacturing equipment or system integration environment.
  • Working knowledge with precision machining / assembly processes is an advantage.
  • Able to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure‑filled conditions.
  • Should be innovative, independent and motivated.
