Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with at least 10 years of hands-on experience. Responsibilities include preparing Bills of Quantities, assessing Variation Orders, and processing claims. The ideal candidate will possess a recognised degree in Quantity Surveying and relevant professional qualifications. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential. Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in quantity surveying.
  • Experience in a consultancy practice preferred.
  • Prior experience in a consultancy firm is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Assess Variation Orders (VO) for subcontract packages.
  • Support measurement and pricing on contract's VO claims.
  • Process monthly progress claims and final claims.
  • Attend to contract administration & documentation.
  • Perform cost estimation or budgetary cost.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors on claims.
  • Maintain documentation in an orderly manner.

Job description
  • To take off and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
  • To assess and identify Variation Order (VO) work for all subcontract packages
  • To provide support for measurement and pricing on contract's VO claim
  • To process monthly progress claim and final claim according to SOP requirements
  • To attend all relevant contracts administration & documentation for the project
  • To take off measurement - remeasurement for sub-contract's payment and final account purposes
  • To work out cost estimation or budgetary cost
  • To liaise with Consultants / Main Contractors on VO and progress claims
  • To liaise with Suppliers for quotations
  • To maintain relevant documentation in orderly and proper manner
  • A minimum of 10 years hands-on experience (preferably with consultancy practice)
  • PSPC-Recognised Degree for Quantity Surveying (QS) Discipline
  • Applicant with Professional Qualification with SISV, AIQS, RICS will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Cost & Measurement software
  • Analytical, resourceful, independent, responsible and able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Good team player yet able to work independent with minimum supervision and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Prior experience in a consultancy firm will be an added advantage
