The Programmes Manager oversees the development, delivery and management of all aspects of ongoing and new plans and operations pertaining to volunteer management, community and outreach programmes, counseling and coaching management. Responsibilities, includes planning, organizing, advocacy, staffing, leading, and quality control.
He/She evaluates management policies and processes and leads their implementation. He/She identifies opportunities for collaborations with social service organisations, community stakeholders, corporate partners and agencies and drives engagement with key stakeholders through various platforms, working in conjunction with corporate communications.
An adaptable, resourceful and resilient professional who possesses good leadership and stakeholder management skills, the Manager works in various voluntary welfare organisations, communities and institutional settings.
Key Responsibility Areas
Develop and deliver programmes and initiatives in accordance with the mission, goals, and strategic direction of the organization, to achieve the successful outcomes for:
- Community based programmes in aid of fostering family relations
- Outreach plans to promote our programmes within the communities we operate in and islandwide
- Counseling and coaching programme as part of our service to build a stronger family
- Volunteer management to meet the needs of programmes in MSCS
Management Role
- Develop and manage the annual budget and operating plan to support the programmes
- Develop programmes evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
- Co-Develop funding proposals for the program to ensure the continuous delivery of services
- Ensure that program activities operate and comply within the policies and procedures of the organization and all relevant legislation and professional standards
- Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the clients of the programmes for reporting
- Manage all programmes funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure financial reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared as outlined in funding agreements according to the established timelines
- Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
- Monitor and report regarding programme activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework; recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate
Manpower Management
- In consultation with the Executive Director, recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff
- Ensure all staff members receive appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards by proper coaching and mentoring
- Supervise program staff by providing direction, input and feedback
- Manage volunteers for appropriate program activities using established volunteer management practices
Stakeholders Management
- Collaborate with social service organisations, community stakeholders, corporate partners and agencies to develop suite of programmes
- Maintain relationships with grassroots and community service organisations for volunteer recruitment and programmes outreach
- Maintain engagement with key stakeholders and volunteers through various engagement platforms
- Support the organisation in advocacy and outreach efforts to further the work of MSCS
Requirements
Experience
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in Social Service Sector either in direct programme work or have worked as a volunteer in the sector, being involved in community and volunteer engagement. Preferably with at least 2-3 year in a managerial role.
Qualifications
- Minimally a Diploma holder
