Primary Objectives of this Position:
To lead and supervise a team to ensure smooth daily operations of food manufacturing processes, adhering to production schedules and maintaining the cleanliness of the area while ensuring health and safety obligations are met. To proactively improve the safety culture of the department and to promote continuous improvement of the processes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure the production targets for the team are met and food products meet required production standards.
- Monitor the set-up and cleanliness of work stations, schedule work activities and supervise the team on their preparation of ingredients and food products as well as packaging.
- Ensure that the equipment performance levels and conduct basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Lead the team to do the housekeeping to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene at production that fulfil the GMP requirements.
- Manage the control of materials inventory, through quarterly stock takes, and regular cycle counting.
- Ensure that the packing sheets of products as per issued job sheet tally and correct in accordance with specific procedures designated for production which are located in the Production Identification & Traceability.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the work area in accordance with Food Safety System requirements.
- Adherence to all standards of quality and hygiene of product in accordance with Food Safety System requirements.
Skills required:
- Vocational training (NITEC and above) in the chemical field OR with experience in production in the chemical industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Meticulous in all aspects.
- Multi-lingual will be advantageous.
- Experience in handling a team.
- No allergies to strong aromas.
- Comfortable lifting 20 – 25kg.
- Able to commit overtime when required.
