Job summary

A leading flexible packaging company located in Singapore is looking for an operational staff member. This role requires adherence to safety protocols while operating equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities include setting up equipment, recording product information, conducting inspections for defects, and maintaining cleanliness. Additional tasks may include assisting with different aspects of production, thus requiring flexibility and a collaborative mindset. Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety requirements during operation.
• Operate equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
• Perform setup and configuration of equipment for film and paper product reels.
• Record product information before and after processing.
• Conduct visual inspection of products for defects.
• Execute re-work of products as instructed.
• Manage hand-over procedures with co-workers.
• Take samples and record them following SOP.
• Package products appropriately according to SOP.
• Print labels and ensure correct labeling of reels.
• Maintain equipment as per instructions.
• Report defects to Leadership or QA Engineer.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.

Principal Accountabilities

Safety

• Perform work in accordance to safety requirements at all times.
• Ensure all Safety-guards are in placed before operating equipment

Operational

• Operate equipment in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
• Perform setup and configuration of equipment to work-on film and paper product reels
• Perform proper recording of product information before and after processing
• Perform visual inspection of product to detect defects as identified by SOP and WIs
• Perform re-work of product as instructed by Leadership
• Perform proper hand-over take-over to/from shift co-workers
• Perform proper sample taking/marking/recording of samples at specific interval per SOP and Work Instructions (WIs)
• Perform proper product packaging per SOP and Work Instructions (WIs)
• Print core labels/pallet labels and ensure proper labelling of reels as per Work Instructions (WIs)
• Perform equipment maintenance as per Work Instructions (WIs)
• Notify Leadership/QA Engineer if any additional defects found
• Ensure General 5S housekeeping of work area / machine cleaning
• Move and Feed production material per Work Instructions (WIs)

Others

• To help-out in other areas of production such as Finished Goods Packing and Retrieving of Materials from the Warehouse as and when needed.
• Other Ad hoc assignments
