Job description

Responsibilities

1. Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel.
2. Start pumps to add products to blending vessels.
3. Turn valves to regulate flow of products or byproducts through agitator tanks, storage drums, or neutralizer tanks upon instructions.
4. Repair and replace damaged equipment.
5. Calculate material requirements or yields according to formulas.
6. Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests in order to monitor processing, and to ensure that standards are met.
7. Gauge tank levels, using calibrated rods.
8. Monitor recording instruments, flowmeters, panel lights, and other indicators, and listen for warning signals, in order to verify conformity of process conditions.
9. Notify maintenance, to correct equipment malfunctions and to adjust power, steam, water, or air supplies.
10. Patrol work areas to ensure that tanks and troughs are not in danger of overflowing.
11. Record operating data such as process conditions, test results, and instrument readings.
12. To document and record various aspects of plant operations. These records include associate production, inventory, safety incidences, personnel absenteeism and their respective corrective actions undertaken.
13. Undertake monor maintenance to ensure Production is continued without stoppage
14. Operate Production as per laid down SOP.
15. Inbound Raw Materials and sovents sampling and analysis for unloading
