Job summary

A global electronics manufacturing firm is seeking an Operations Engineer in Singapore to manage production processes. This role involves leading operations meetings, tracking inventory, and supporting projects like ERP and SAP migrations. Summary

The Operations engineer is responsible for managing production process and end-to-end production order execution from order received into shop-floor system to material request, kitting, assembly, test, solutions setup, audit, pack and handover to logistics for order delivery.

Responsibilities

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead regular operations review meeting with outsource manufacturing cum service provider, internal cross‑function teams on production orders executions planning, prioritization, issues resolution and expedite order completion to meeting customer delivery commit.

  • Production orders include new trade order fulfillment and customer return order de‑kiting.

  • Track, monitor and manage production WIP and inventory to meet inventory target and prevent aging.

  • Support transformation and re‑engineering projects such as ERP, SAP migration, new factory, new outsource service provider etc to ensure successful implementation and stabilisation.

  • Develop effective and efficient production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and support Kaizen and Smart factory initiatives that improve production efficiency, reduce cost and reduce production cycle time.

  • Meet Operations KPI such as production turnaround time, production cost and inventory target.

Skills and Requirements
  • Preferably tertiary education with at least 3 years of relevant working experience will be considered.

  • Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Words.

  • Experience in SAP or shop‑floor database.

  • Experience in manufacturing environment and understanding of production flow.

  • Manufacturing or industrial engineering knowledge.

  • Knowledge of RPA, Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI etc will be added advantage.

  • Working Days / Hours: 8 am to 5.30 pm / 8.30 am to 6 pm (Mondays to Fridays)
