Job Summary

The Production Manager oversees all daily site operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence in production processes. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives and serves as the key representative of the site both within the organization and to external stakeholders.

It partners with leading brands worldwide to enhance product protection, strengthen brand differentiation, and optimize value chains through a comprehensive portfolio of flexible and rigid packaging, specialty cartons, closures, and related services.

The Asia Pacific regional headquarters is based in Singapore, serving as a market leader in delivering innovative, high-quality packaging solutions across the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, medical, and industrial markets.

The Job
Site Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure safe operation of the site by identifying risks and following up on corrective actions.
  • Enforce all EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards consistently.
  • Actively seek feedback from coworkers to enhance safety standards and overall performance.
  • Demonstrate personal presence and an inspirational leadership style.
  • Take prompt action in cases of standard violations.
Achievement of Site KPIs
  • Ensure fulfillment of agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the site.
  • Implement and realize the production plan as per S&OP agreements.
  • Plan and control production to meet delivery schedules.
  • Monitor performance across EHS, Cost, Capacity, Quality, Waste, Engineering, Maintenance, and Service.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting cycle, responsible for production, headcount, and CAPEX investment budgets.
Performance Improvement
  • Define operational goals aligned with strategic plans, in close collaboration with functional leads.
  • Establish and utilize agreed KPI definitions and reporting templates, aligned with SEA HC standards.
  • Ensure effective cascading of goals throughout the organization.
  • Provide clear and consistent progress reporting to all stakeholders.
Standard Setting and Operational
  • Maintain strong technical and people-focused leadership on site.
  • Exhibit presence and influence to positively impact coworkers.
  • Drive adherence to key work processes, including S&OP, EHS risk reduction, waste minimization, and customer complaint resolution, in collaboration with functional leads.
The Talent
  • 10 years' experience in operations within an industrial environment, demonstrating both technical expertise and people management skills.
  • Proven experience in engineering and plant management.
  • Packaging industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage relationships across multiple levels.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other plants to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Formal qualifications in project management, lean management, Six Sigma, or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in plant operations, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
