Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner who will be instrumental in translating product vision into actionable sprints, ensuring efficient delivery, and optimizing team performance. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product strategy and development execution, working closely with engineering and design teams to bring features to life. This role specifically focuses on the "how" and "when" of product delivery, complementing the "what" and "why" defined by the Head of Product.

Responsibilities
  • Sprint Planning & Execution:

    • Lead sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of priorities and requirements to maximize throughput and achieve sprint goals.

    • Drive the end‑to‑end delivery of internal AI products, from initial planning through development and release, ensuring timelines are realistic and execution is tightly aligned with business priorities.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

    • Translate product vision into executable milestones in close collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring delivery plans are actionable, time‑bound, and aligned with strategic objectives.

    • Act as the primary liaison between Product Management, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure seamless communication, alignment, and efficient execution of product initiatives.

  • MVP & Iterative Delivery: Champion a lean delivery mindset by ensuring MVPs are shipped quickly, with clear scoping for iterative follow‑up phases based on user feedback and evolving priorities.

  • Backlog Management: Own and meticulously manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well‑defined, prioritized, and aligned with overall product strategy. This includes writing clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications.

  • Acceptance Testing: Collaborate with QA to define and execute acceptance tests, ensuring delivered features meet the defined criteria and quality standards.

  • Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor progress across design, engineering, and QA workstreams, ensuring alignment, resolving blockers promptly, and maintaining velocity across the full delivery lifecycle.

    • Identify areas for improvement in the execution process and propose solutions.

  • Documentation & Change Management: Maintain clear documentation of requirements, product decisions, and change logs using tools like Asana or Notion, ensuring traceability and transparency throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Requirements Clarification: Provide on‑demand clarifications for the development team regarding requirements, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on sprint progress, potential blockers, and planned deliverables.

Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or related role in tech or digital products.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Ability to write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to guide decisions.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in SaaS, AI products, or web/mobile platforms.

  • Background in UX, software development, or business analysis.

  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, or product analytics platforms.
