A manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Product Costing Analyst to manage product costs and financial health. Responsibilities include coordinating cost reviews, analyzing variances, and ensuring effective cost recovery. Candidates should possess a degree in Business and relevant experience in cost accounting, proficient Excel skills, and strong analytical capabilities.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Costing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in managing our product costs and ensuring the financial health of our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to drive our quarterly costing process, analyze cost variances, and provide critical insights that directly impact our profitability.
Quarterly Cost Review:
Coordinate quarterly internal cost review exercise by collaborating with Global Supply Management, Program Management, Materials, and Finance teams.
Ensure the timely collection and validation of data from all stakeholders to maintain accurate product costing.
Variance Analysis & Forecasting:
Develop detailed forecasts and track the plant's Purchase Price Variance (PPV), providing actionable insights into material cost fluctuations.
Perform root cause analysis on cost variances, identify key drivers, and present findings and recommendations to management for corrective action.
Cost Management & Recovery:
Actively monitor the plant's cost recovery programs to ensure all eligible expenses are accurately tracked, documented, and reclaimed.
Partner with the Finance team to validate and reconcile cost recovery claims, maximizing financial returns for the facility.
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent.
2 to 4 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Materials, Program Product Costing, or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and other MS Office applications.
Hands‑on experience with an ERP system (such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Strong data analysis and financial modeling capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
A highly analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
