Job summary

A leading engineering firm located in Singapore is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to enhance safety and performance in plant processes. Responsibilities include leading Process Safety Management initiatives, conducting risk assessments, and managing process safety documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and a good understanding of industry codes and standards. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $4500 to $5000 per month.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), PHA/MOC, and risk assessments.
• Ability to read and apply P&IDs and PFDs.

Process Safety Engineer
5 days (Monday - Friday)
Location: Tuas
Basic Salary: $4500 - $5000

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate plant process studies, including capacity, operating conditions, and process performance.
• Lead and promote Process Safety Management (PSM) excellence in line with the 14 PSM elements.
• Prepare and maintain Process Engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, material & energy balances, and DCS control logic.
• Conduct and manage process safety reviews including HAZOP, PHA, MOC, PSSR, and design safety reviews.
• Perform risk assessments and support QRA data collection; coach teams on risk analysis techniques.
• Coordinate and deliver process safety documentation (PSI, operating procedures, mechanical integrity) to ensure safe process stewardship.
• Investigate process safety incidents, support root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Utilize process simulation tools and cross-functional collaboration to implement continuous process and safety improvements.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), PHA/MOC, risk assessments, and industry codes.
• Able to read and apply P&IDs and PFDs, assess process hazards, and troubleshoot process issues.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
