Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead a team. This role involves planning, design, and overseeing mechanical engineering projects, including preparing tender documents and coordinating with other disciplines. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of CAD and project management skills. The position offers a competitive salary of $5,000 to $7,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in design and consultancy.
• Registered with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore preferred.
• Conversant with local and international engineering codes and regulations.

Job description

• Location: Westgate (Jurong)
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday (9am - 6pm)
• Permanent Role
• Basic + AWS

Job Responsibilities

• To lead and guide a team of engineers.
• To involve in the planning and design of mechanical engineering works for building services.
• To prepare tender documents, design and technical specifications, and cost estimates for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical works.
• To collaborate with peers of other disciplines in feasibility studies, design and construction, as well as ensure excellent delivery of service to clients.
• To assist in preparing bid documents.
• Any ad-hoc duties as per assigned.
• Salary: $5,000 to $7,000

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University accredited with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 8 -10 years of relevant experience, preferably with design and consultancy experience.
• Registered with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore preferred.
• Conversant with international, Eurocode or local codes and regulations as well as submission procedures.
• Good working experience in a consulting firm with proven track records in major development projects.
• Knowledge of REVIT, CAD (AutoCAD or Micro Station) and mechanical engineering design systems software.
• Strong project/team management capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
