A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a candidate for Gate Operations Management. The role involves performing checks on vehicles, managing traffic, and assisting the Gate IC. Applicants should have a minimum of GCE 'O' Level and relevant experience in logistics operations, along with strong communication skills. The position requires adaptability to varying shift patterns at Main Gate or West Gate, ensuring efficient and safe port operations.
Gate Operations Management
Perform checks on vehicular entries and exits to ensure all required documents and permits are valid and complete.
Reject entry/exit for any incomplete or invalid documentation and report to Security/ICC for follow-up.
Verify that container and vehicle physical attributes tally with system declarations before submission, in accordance with SOP.
Monitor traffic through CCTV and open additional lanes when necessary to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Achieve an average processing time of 60 seconds per vehicle at both entry and exit lanes.
Confirm with drivers (taking delivery of containers) via intercom that scanning at ICA Jurong Scanning Station has been completed before exiting the port.
Ensure and educate drivers to follow lane discipline during port entry and exit.
Comply with Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Risk Assessments (RA) at all times.
Attend to and resolve all error and warning messages prompted by AGS, EIM, and JPOL systems in accordance with SOP.
Ensure drivers collect TID and EIR slips from the Smart Pass kiosk.
Conduct system checks and validations to ensure smooth processing of vehicular and cargo transactions.
Assist the Gate IC when required, including weighing service, counter documentation duties, and IMS-ITH activities.
Carry out other duties as assigned to support efficient gate and port operations.
GCE “O” Level, NITEC in port operations or related fields
2 years’ experience in logistics operations would be an added advantage
Willing to perform shift work and be deployed at either Main Gate (8-hour morning/afternoon shifts) or West Gate (12-hour day/night shifts) depending on operational needs.
Able to adapt in a fluid and challenging environment
Computer literate
Strong team player, and experience in port operations
Good team player, and communication skill
