Job description

We are seeking a skilled Platform Operation Engineer with broad technical expertise across infrastructure domains, network/server management, and enterprise ICT operations. The role involves delivering infrastructure services for Public Service agencies, managing data centres, and ensuring sustainable operations while driving innovation through new initiatives and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver enterprise-level ICT infrastructure services (network, servers, backup systems, desktop) to Public Service agencies and other entities.
• Manage data centre and server room operations, ensuring service continuity through effective network and server management.
• Execute new initiatives and enhancements leveraging network and server technologies.
• Collaborate with team leaders and outsourced service providers to plan, manage, and deliver infrastructure service projects.
• Work with GovTech Central ICT Infra teams to design infrastructure solutions aligned to current and future needs.
• Oversee service monitoring and maintenance; coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and implement changes.
• Manage procurement cycles including budgeting, vendor selection, and invoice verification.
• Develop budget forecasts and track expenditure utilisation.
• Act as point of contact for infrastructure in new projects and initiatives.
• Support application systems by managing infrastructure services in collaboration with service consultants, users, and vendors.
• Contribute to Architecture Review and Governance processes to ensure sustainability and resiliency.
• Perform other duties assigned by Head of IT or CIO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of overall experience in ICT infrastructure, including network and server management, data centre operations, and vendor management.
• Strong technical knowledge of network technologies, server administration, and infrastructure security.
• Proven experience with ICT infrastructure management, service monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT infrastructure and processes will be an advantage.
• Proactive, meticulous, and resourceful with excellent organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
