You will be supporting a leading regional banking client operating across multiple countries in Asia.
The client environment is highly regulated, large-scale, and availability-critical, requiring strong engineering discipline, automation-first thinking, and platform reliability practices.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join a Service Automation / Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supporting a large banking client.

This role focuses on building and operating reliable platforms, developing automation solutions, and delivering full-stack applications that eliminate manual operational work and improve service reliability.

This is a 12-month contract role, based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly reliable and scalable platforms
• Develop full-stack web applications using Angular (TypeScript) and Python (Django)
• Design and implement automation solutions for operational and platform workflows
• Build and maintain REST APIs for internal tools and services
• Develop dashboards and self-service portals for platform users
• Identify automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and reduce operational issues
• Improve system reliability, performance, and availability
• Collaborate with SRE, infrastructure, and service delivery teams in a regulated environment

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in:
  • Platform Engineering / Automation Engineering / SRE-aligned roles
  • Full-stack web application development in enterprise environments

Core Technical Skills

• Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Backend: Python, Django / Django REST Framework
• Databases: Oracle Database, PostgreSQL
• API Development: RESTful services
• Automation: Infrastructure or system automation using code
• DevOps / ALM Tools: Git / Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory

Additional Skills

• Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business and operational workflows into automation
• Good communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable working in banking / regulated environments
